Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 13, 2021 (SKNIS): The travel ban on incoming travellers from the United Kingdom (UK) to St. Kitts and Nevis will be lifted on September 01, 2021. Abdias Samuel, Chairman of the National COVID-19 Task Force, announced the change at the August 11 briefing by the National Emergency Operations Centre. The latest travel advisory was issued for the United Kingdom, South Africa, Brazil and India on July 20, 2021, which extended the travel ban up until August 31, 2021. Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 13, 2021 (RSCNPF): An illegal firearm was taken into custody by the Police following a search that was conducted on an abandoned building on East Park Range. During the search on Thursday (August 12, 2021), one (1) Smith and Wesson .40 Pistol was found. Officers routinely include empty lots and abandoned properties in their search operations around the Federation. It regularly results in the seizure of illegal firearms and illicit drugs. The move is part of an overall strategy to keep citizens and residents safe. To date, six (6) illegal firearms have been taken into Police custody.
