Dr Armstrong Alexis of Saint Lucia has been appointed as the new Deputy Secretary-General of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). Dr Alexis takes up his post from 1 November 2021. Dr Alexis was previously at the United Nations Development Programme where he has had a distinguished career in the Caribbean, the Pacific and Africa rising to the level of Deputy Resident Representative in Namibia. The government’s Human Resource Management Department is inviting applications to fill the position of Counsel in the Intellectual Property Office on a full-time basis at the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs.
