The Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis wishes to advise the general public that all Government offices will close early on Thursday July 9, 2026, to facilitate the Official Funeral of the late Honourable Hugh C. Heyliger, former Deputy Prime Minister.
This early closure will allow members of the Public Service and the wider national community the opportunity to pay their final respects to a distinguished son of the soil who dedicated his life to the service and development of our Federation.

Government offices will close at 2 p.m. on Thursday July 9, 2026. Normal operations will resume on Friday July 10, 2026.
The Government extends its sincere appreciation to the public for their understanding and cooperation during this period of national mourning.
